This guys seems like he could be a cheap source of HRs in 12+ team leagues.

Anyone with the low down on Mr. Hawpe...Is he going to start FT for the Rox??

He should start Full time for the Rox.

The only other way he wouldn't would be if they Moved Ryan Shealy to right for his bat, however, Shealy is injured and can't throw at the moment.

Possibly Ian Stewart could play right field.

Hawpe is a power hitter.

He hit something like 32 hr's in 90 games in the PC League .

I think he could have a great year if he stays healthy.

I actually think the rockies have a pretty good young squad.

I'd expect 270 25 hr's 90 rbis
I'm too lazy to make a sig at the moment

That guys a total idiot here are some things he said:

Garrett Atkins, the third baseman, was mediocre last year in his rookie season

Yea Garrett only had 89 rbi's 13 hr's and batted .287 Um....Mediocre? I about 1 seasons AB's he has 100 rbi's yea that sucks

Brad Hawpe is Colorado's left fielder
At least get his position right moron he plays right field.

Barmes missed three months of action and struggled mightily (.544 OPS) upon his return.

Yea he played 1 month upon his return oh no!

He also uses the word Mediocre 5 times... Learn to write. And get your facts straight

Yea like I said Hawpe hit the crap out of the ball in the Pacific Coast league.

He may not be a star but I think he's a good HR guy.

He k's too much but then again he's young like most rockies

And yes the Article was piss poor

Bottom line is Hawpe has the starting job nailed down, he plays in Coors, and he has some power. IMO he is a great cheap source of power, just don't expect too much. If you are in a daily roster change league so you can make home/away changes, or even sit him against lefties, then he's even more valauble.

Rox should be a pretty solid club this year, and put runs on the board. Hawpe is batting sixth which gives him plenty of RBI changes.

MAybe that is because rbis are not the end all and be all. I cal 13 homers and 287 in coors field ofr a power position is pretty medicore.
