now that Council is back? According to Yahoo Cintron is the backup now. What is his value if anything?

I dropped him for Counsell...He hasn't been that good lately, so I think he will become the backup if he isn't already. Counsell has been good when he isn't injured, so I am riding the storm till it's over.

I don't know if Counsell will be GOOD. I think that Cintron is a better bet for production out of the two.

Cintron's value is low and dropping. Spivey and Womack both could be back by the end of July, meaning we might not be hearing from him again for a while.

It was a nice run for the Babybacks, but it's likely the bench or the minors for Cintron, Kata and friends in a couple weeks.

Counsell is sitting on my WW and I could use a SS (currently use Relaford and Eckstien). Will Counsell be an everyday player during the second half?

I had Counsell earlier in the year, right before he got injuried. He won't hurt you, but he won't really help you either. I don't see why they don't keep Kata and Cintron in the lineup. I thought they have said they were going to go with the youth movement and go with the youngsters and try to move the older vets.

I know Counsell is on the block, and so is Womack ... But Cintron has not been Swinging the bat well. I am going to hang on to him .. just to see what plays out over the next three weeks. Unless someone offers me a fat trade for him ..

I started one of those real team keeper leagues this year. I took the Padres cus I am a homer ... My very first move was to ship out Loretta. (very first) :-)

That team is now in 4th out of 16. Yes the Padres. and working on a Sweep against the D backs this week.

and By the way ... I really hope nobody has noticed how well the Real Padres are playing the last 3 weeks. I like them under the radar. :-)

Loretta has been batting .376 this past month. That's pretty impressive. And Cintron has cooled off completely. So I guess I made a good move....
