DL Stashing

My keeper league allows 5 DL spots...mostly because we have some hard luck owners who always seem to fill it up easily. To some degree more spots isn't that big of a deal since yahoo won't allow you to do any waiver wire moves if you try to keep guys who came off of the DL in real life on the DL in your league... I'm thinking right now not a lot of guys worth stashing are really out there - which isn't a huge deal I suppose

We have two spots and I hope to pick-up MacDougal and maybe Pavano..

When one of my players goes on 15 days DL, I often take another DLed player. When either one goes off DL I decide who to leave in the DL slot. I have never dumped a drafted player to pick-up a DL player.

True...dumping a drafted player to pick up someone starting the season on the DL (someone whom you have to guess is only slightly likely to give you any help in the future if he went undrafted) does seem silly unless you changed your mind about someone you drafted...or in my case, I have Mark Prior whose DL stint opened up a spot on my team - I think overall this years possible stash guys aren't as plentiful as last season...granted, the more I think about it - the more I'm realizing most of the guys that fit the mold last season turned out to be of little or no fantasy value (Bonds, R. Soriano, Baldelli...)
