Or how about Okha who was never a good K guy in his career and then look at last years splits.
53 IP, 17 K, 2.83 K per 9 pre Brewers 126.1 IP, 81 K, 5.78 K per 9 with Brewers.
Then look at spring training numbers
Bush 25 IP, 18 K, 6.48 K per 9 Ohka 29 IP, 19 K, 8..55 K per 9 Davis 15 IP, 12 K, 7.2 K per 9
Maddux just knows how to teach pitchers to pound that strike zone and pretty much every pitcher that joins the team spikes in K rate.
FWIW, Sheets also saw a jump in K rate from pre 03 to 04.
Yeah, but Ben Sheets has great stuff and a lot more talent than Bush. I don't think the two are really comparable, but I won't bury Bush just yet, its certainly possible he improves.

No doubt Sheets is on a different planet when it comes down to it. I was just pointing out that Brewers pitchers in general have enjoyed immense success under Maddux. Capuano and Turnbow are also good examples.
