Would you be confident that this team can take you to the top?
Very solid team. Though I would look and see if there is a better catcher out there than Molina. Never been a fan of Bradley, has talent, but always manages to screw it up. Little young in the SP, but overall very solid team.
Depht could be a problem with pitching. Although I like Zambrano and Harden, I don't see the other starters contributing significantly. Really like Cotts in the bullpen, IMO he will strive as the closer in Chi-town. Offensively, you look very good. Only question mark I see in your offense is at 2B. With your outfield looking very strong however, I think that maybe this is a possible way for you to get better pitching or pick up a better second baseman.
*Edit*
See if Josh Barfield is available at 2B. He's a rookie and has won the starting second baseman job for the Padres. He's the son of Jesse Barfield. I think he'll have a solid campaign, and he won't cost you much.. probably available through free agency.
Looks like a well rounded team. I would try looking for another catcher and I think you could use some more quality depth in the outfield maybe. But the outfield isn't very deep this year. You can never go wrong with having a bunch of closers.
I would look to offer up a 2 for 1 at closer, you have the entire youth movement at closer on 1 team. I would want 1 battle tested closer in the bunch just as a safety blanket
Down 3, 8 straight.....The 2004 World Series Champions. The "Idiots". some gone, none forgotten.
I'd stick where you are for a while. Baseball is tricky to call, but you have a well rounded team. If you need to trade, I'd at least wait a few weeks into the season. As of now, you look solid enough. Not dominant, but play-off caliber. The SPs are your only question mark, but I'd still wait on that...
