Chisox fans- what can you tell us about Jenks/Cotts?

I know Jenks is on a short leash. Do you think he'll be replaced by Cotts sooner than later?

Ozzie likes to do a closer by committee sometimes. Koch, Shingo, Hermanson and Jenks in two years. I wouldn't trust Jenks right now and if Ozzie does go to a closer it might be Politte not Cotts.

Thanks for the insight. I read a couple days ago Ozzie said Cotts was next in line, but as you said, Ozzie goes on a whim sometimes esp. w/ closers.

I was up in Chicago (from Champaign...) last week and read the paper pretty much every day and there was some quote about Cotts being the guy.

Here's one of them...

The only downside I can see to Cotts is the bias against lefty closers.

I think that Hermanson's still having back problems though, according to Yahoo:

The team said there is a good chance Hermanson is headed for the 15-day disabled list. "

I dunno about Pollitte. I have Jenks on one team and kind of squeezed the roster a bit to grab Cotts but I'm not really sure how long I'll be able to play that game.

Yeah, Herm is out for awhile. I wrote the post a few days ago and just cut and pasted it. My money is on Politte if Jenks goes down.

Pollitte was awful as a closer. If he got the job that would be a closer NOT worth a roster spot imo.
