i know he was complete trash last year...but does anyone think he could have a rebound year?...i believe he is only 35, his is currently located in a pitchers park, and the last i heard, hes batting 4th in that lineup!!!!!
and throw on top of that, texas released erubiel durazo!
i have been trying to find out how hes doing this spring and if he is still batting fourth.
can anyone help me out with some info on nevin.
i hate to say it...i dont think 35 and 110 .300 are out the question he is fully healthy.
please help
peace

I've seen some threads about him here. He'll probably get injured anyway (even if he is the DH).

I think it's the end of the road for Nevin.
He could play at Coors for all his away games and still barely have fantasy value.

I cannot believe they keep batting him 4th in that lineup.. He's so very washed up.. No he's no longer the 35 110 guy he was 6 years ago (and that was only for 2 years he was good).. He's batting a pathetic .200 on the nose in spring training and had another 0-3 day today.. They will learn he's garbage before long.. Meanwhile their best hitter this spring by a mile (Kevin Mench) is batting .471 and they got him hitting 6th!! What gives?

There is another Nevin thread somewhere here pretty recently.
It does sound like he's the full-time DH but doesn't TEX have lots of guys that need AB's (Delucci, Nix, Mathews Jr. when healthy) that will eventually cut into his ab's?

Hes currently in a 1 for 14 slump. A sleeper in only very deep leagues due to his pathetic ba and no contibutions to steals and runs

i guess those number look ok for spring atleast.
the k's bother me...but i like the homeruns and the walks...
i guess its just me...him hitting fourth with texiera before him and blaylock behind him are incredibly SEXY!!
thats the kind of support he never had in san diego.
maybe this could be his last hurrah...maybe the power will be moderate and he could get those runs up because of the strong linup hes in.
i am sooooooo desperate for bench players...i have rowand granderson ibanez and monroe in one league, not great but not bad. Thinking of a healthy nevin in that lineup is making me a little hot...lol
you know how much of a genius i would look like if i pick him up and he does something....
i know...im sorry...but this league is for all the beans...its a village league with all the members of my softball team...im dying to win it.
peace
