I've heard on a few message boards that the Twins are looking to make a big trade as early as this weekend. Aside from the Sierra & Yan swap, anybody got anything? I'm thinking maybe Lugo since Gardenhire has lost his faith in him, rightly so imo. Thanks guys, I'm going to keep looking. }:-)
It woudl make sense for the Twins to trade the loser of the derby for the #5 spot in the rotation (Liriano or Baker) for a good bat. There offense is terrible and I cannot see them competing this year without adding someone in the middle of the line-up.

Well, it's very likely Liriano will be the loser of that battle when the season begins, and there is no way the Twins would trade him.

Doubt it.
Sarcasm...would not be the first time I might add.
sadly, the bit that sounds like it would actually make the trade happen is, "a promise by George to do all his banking with Pohlad firms."
i don't know what's more pathetic: pohlad as an owner or sid hartman (the self-proclaimed, "dean of minnesota sports") writing absurd, maudlin articles about how difficulties with the twins just tear up that soft-hearted teddy bear of a man, carl pohlad.

LOL...some teddy bear.
Worth billions...a former used car salesman (like Selig) and banker. Getting welfare from big, bad George who is worth far less...what a crock.
