Yahoo Do not draft list and live draft

I am running a keeper draft tonight. Using yahoo, with the proviso that when it comes time for your "keeper" you pick that guy in the round we have determined.

I told everyone to put everyone's keepers (including their own) on the "do not draft list" that way, there won't be any mistakes if you run out of time.

However, would this prevent someone from picking their own keeper?

If so, I can just tell people to pick terrible players as placeholders.

If this is a serious league, I would suggest getting a Yahoo plus league. You can put keepers in before the draft and it's a lot easier. You don't have to have everyone else's keepers in the do not draft list if you do it this way, you just have to have them rank their keepers at the top of their draft lists. Most of your owners should be there anyways, right?

yea it is a serious league and next year we are doing this. but it is semi-in development, I started a new job (I ma commish) and we had two expansion teams, and it was a kind of a bubble gum and duct tape solution, admittedly so. not a big deal, I can tell people tot ake backup catchers and terrible pitchers etc.
