Baseball Prospectus doesn't have a profile on him, any reason why? If he gets the fifth spot, does anyone see success coming his way?

Guzman has already been optioned down to AAA, along with Aardsma and Ryu, leaving Marshall and Hill to fight for the opening in the rotation. I think Marshall will get it.


I do see Guzman being a good, if not very good, starter in the future. But with his injury history, it's probably a good idea for him to get some more work before he comes up.

Guzman might make a midseason callup, if Williams and Marshall don't perform, Prior and Woody continue to be injured, and/or CZam or Maddux gets injured. Right now, Sean Marshall is the sleeper pick from the Cubs rotation. Guzman may be worth a midseason pickup, or a bench spot in a deep keeper league or very deep NL-only league.

I think Guzman will be good but he needs to get healthy and some experience in the minors before getting called up

ya rusch is pitching horrible i hope he doesnt pitch the way he did a couple years ago when he only won like 1 game
