Hello, I am a fantasy basketball/ football player who is just getting into baseball and only know a little bit. Looks good.

Your one weakness is that you don't have a real big base-stealer on your squad. It being point-based means it's not a huge deal, but you may want to pick up a guy like Gathright or Granderson over one of your bench players (say, Greene).

Good lineup overall. If you want to add speed try using B Bonds as trade bait in a 2 for 1 type trade. I know a lot of people are going to disagree with me, but he is such a volitile personality he may quit at mid season and leave you with nothing. Get something for him now while he is still valueable :-)

update.

My team got off to a really slow start in my league so i started making trades that might seem kind of crazy... traded away alot of depth for quality and got really good players in return. Now my team is good and I find myself in a 9 week winning streak with no signs of slowing down. Hopefully no one gets injured!

Here is my line up now:

C- Joe Mauer
1B- Mark Teixeira
2B- Alfonso Soriano
3B- David Wright
SS- Michael Young
OF- Manny Ramirez
OF- Vladamir Guerrero
OF- Carl Crawford
U- Carlos Delgado
BN- Justin Morneau
BN- Adrian Beltre

SP- Pedro Martinez
SP- Francisco Liriano
SP- Scott Kazmir
SP- Dontrelle Willis
SP- John Smoltz
SP- Jered Weaver
RP- Joe Nathan
BN- Felix Hernandez (SP)
BN- C.C. Sabathia (SP)
BN- Anthony Reyes (SP)
BN- Akinori Otsuka (RP)

Here are some of the trades and pickups I made to get to this team:

FA Pick- Ups
Kazmir
Sabathia
Otsuka
Liriano
Weaver
Beltre
Nathan
Morneau
Reyes

Trades

Traded Griffey (Draft) and Bonds (Draft) for Papelbon who I traded straight up for Carl Crawford.

Traded Nick Johnson (FA), Mench (FA), and Kent (Draft) for Alfonso Soriano.

Traded Hawpe (FA), Harang (Draft), and Renteria (FA) for Teixeira.

Traded Damon (Draft) for Delgado.

Traded Konerko (Draft), Podsednik (FA), and Wagner (Draft) for Manny Ramirez and Willis.

I'd say you would make a good baseball GM right now.
