Hes having a solid spring training... 5 HR 13 rbi and batting over 300 i think in like 60 ab's. What do you guys think of him? I know he plays in a pitchers ballpark but I think he could have a solid year and hit for a good avg. Any thoughts?

*Thanks to Super Manny*

Maybe his average will be OK but he will be generally worthless as a fantasy 3B. He has limited power, he will be hitting near the bottom of a very weak line-up and plays in an extreme pitcher's park, as you mentioned. He figures to be in the running with Castilla, Bell and Mueller for the title of Worst Fantasy 3B in the NL.
Keep in mind that he is gettign rave reviews as a rookie contributor for his defense, which is unfortunately not germane to fantasy.

I heard they are rushing him as well and that most people think he should stay down still
I'm too lazy to make a sig at the moment

He's a good prospect, most definitely upper-teir. Bu the fact that he hits in RFK and is known more for his glove than his bat means he probably wont top 20 HRs for a while. I think he'll hit for a nice average, in the .300 area, but that's about it. I'd much rather gamble on Edwin Encarnacion than him.

make that 7 HR...
he popped two more out today
so much for slick fielding, light hitting Ryan Zimmerman
this guy could be a monster if the Nats park does not put a damper on his power.

Even with his good hitting in spring training he still wont hit for enough power yet to be worth anything in standard leagues. His power is below that of most elite 3b prospects and playing in washington will further limit that.

haha its funny u all are dissing him because he is starting at 3B and he batted .397 in that span he was up in the majors.
not bad for a kid who got drafted that same year.
