I see a higher era (a little less than 4) around 12-14 wins. 155 ks and 180 ip.

i have the option of dropping orvella and picking him up in a 10 team keeper... my question for those of you who own him, are you going to monitor who he is playing and make selective starts with him this year?(more so than with other pitchers - not just benching him against the yankees or at arlington?). I have rivera, c. cordero, and gonzalez for my closers.. what do you think?

He is a no brainer to own in a keeper. You gotta make that move.

Depends on how many players you have on your bench. 10 teams is pretty shallow. I really don't think he will help you much this year.

I like his last name, reminds me of that movie Zoolander, not that it was a good movie or anything. Was this helpful?

Pick him up no matter what in a keeper. He's gonna be sweet, but expect some struggles this season along with flashes of brilliance.

I wouldn't expect more than average stats out of Verlander this season. He'll be up and down all season, have great control some games, then have terrible control other games. The kid is a rookie, and shouldn't be counted on for too much.
