I understand that it's not that easy to do these things. I have CS2 and can't really figure it out, so I know first hand how good you guys must be. So if you can help, I would really apprecite it.

I would like to take the photo from the following link and change it to say Chicago Red Sox, instead of Boston Red Sox. And make it small enough to be my avatar...

Again, I'd be really psyched if someone could help me with this.

First thing you can do is either use the clone stamp or eraser to get rid of the boston in the picture. Then go to dafont.com and download the font called Bosox. That way you get the same font that the logo is on. Then just mess with the text you write out for Chicago. you can curl it or you can do a text on a path. Or just do all the letters alone and just rotate and move them into place. Multiple ways of doing it, just keep trying, you'll eventually get it ;-D

Thanks, it's probably better that I learn to do this stuff anyways. Do they charge at dafonts? I'm sure i'll find out when I get there.

nope, they have searches that go to the pay sites but dafonts' fonts are all free for download

OK, I made it and it looks pretty good. Then I reduced it to 80x80 pixels, but it's still too large, 25kb.
How do I shrink it down to the allowable size?

Sorry for the amature questions....

Nice, I think it may look better if you cut out the logo to be round with a gif or png ;-D
