Rotoworld:
Armando Benitez was left in to give up 10 runs -- nine earned -- in 1 1/3 innings Monday against the Royals.
We're surprised manager Felipe Alou didn't take the hint after he gave up five runs in his first inning. Benitez's velocity remains down as a result of his knee injury, and he's not much without his good fastball. He'll enter the season as the Giants' closer, but if he continues to struggle, Tim Worrell likely will take over.
Seems like shkay and/or injured closers is becoming a tradition in SF MOD EDIT: No need for this last part.

By "learning your lesson," you could be missing out on a good portion of really cheap saves. The Giants always are among the better fraction of the league in producing save opps.

There's just certain players you decide to stay away from. He was one of them. Plus, he went in the 11th in my league, which was way too early imo.
Granted, that outing was ugly, I still have him projocted for an ERA of 2.75 and a 1.10 WHIP.
does that mean that you modified your projections? or you have your pre-spring training projections and are still sticking to them? (not being sarcastic, asking seriously).
but christmas tree closers don't last very long. even if it is only st #'s.
