i'm a little worried he might go nuts in the 2nd half... not beltran like but he could go for .900+ ops in half a season (see 2004).


jocketty is saying the same thing he did last year...wants a youngish outfielder who can play now and be a part of the team for a few years. kearns is now out of the equation. i dont know who fits that bill. i dont even know what can be traded to get anything since reyes and wainwright are apparently untouchable. i guess rasmus, garcia, anderson, or mccormack, plus maybe a hancock/chris duncan (and of course john gall) could get something done. rasmus and j.garcia are climbing up the rankings but they are still in A ball which makes them a little less appealing. if the nats can send relievers and spare parts for kearns/lopez then maybe hancock has solid trade value.
