shin splints might be the least bad injury a pitcher could have, and that includes a bruised ego.

heh heh. I was having fun.

But I do need to know...what the heck is a shin splint? I have an image of splintering tibias and that sounds painful.

I have them and they can be a ***** to try to run with sometimes. The best way to get rid of them is rest, and it looks like it isn't very serious and they are treating it right. ;-D
