some are obvious. But i want a sleeper like braden looper. I think looper will get ten saves, 20 holds since taverez and king are gone.
People on other boards are doing nothing but naming the top guys of last year. I dont think half those are gonna match

Take a flyer on
Arthur Rhodes at the end of your draft. I think he will be more than servicable after all the top-name holds guys are long gone.

While I think that someday Soriano can be a top holds guy, he only has 6 holds in his 63 game career. I don't think he qualifies as a top holds guy.

I second this.

I don't see why this is relevant. Holds, like saves, is entirely a situational stat. What one can glean from his Hld/Game ratio is that (as a young pitcher, mainly his age 22-23 seasons) he hasn't been put in the position to get a lot of holds; it tells you little about how successful he would be in that role.
J.J. Putz is a much bigger concern than his Hld/Game ratio.

And that's my point. All the top holds guys have the confidence of their managers to put them out there in holds situations. If you have more chances to get a hold, then you're more likely to get more holds. As you pointed out, it would seem Putz would be the first in line as a setup man in Seattle, so it would seem he'd get more chances.
