We all know guys like Sheets nad Prior are starting the season on the DL. Does anyone know when its possible to put them in one of your DL slots so you can pick someone else up? I'm guessing April 2nd when the season starts...?

And I guess they're not officially put on the DL until the season starts... right?

Dose anyone know when a plyer is officially put on the DL? Is it the first day games are played?

The deadline for a team to put guys on the DL is when they submit their 25 man roster. Some teams do it earlier, but the deadline is usually the end of spring training which is Friday or Saturday.
The Nationals, for instance, put Ayala and Lawrence on the DL today - so just check Yahoo's status update each day.

Ok, thanks for clearing that up. So I'll check this weekend and see if they're eligible for the DL spot.

Chadlincoln was right...once they are officially put on the DL. I saw this morning that Prior is already on Yahoo's DL.

Kerry Wood is also on the DL. Basically, you are at the whim of whatever team the player is on. In my case, I'm sure the Royals will wait until the roster deadline to put MacDougal on the DL. Sheets might go on the DL before then.
