In my league, there are two spots for the DL. Can I pick up a guy on the DL without dropping a player?

nope

However, you can usually find someone on the waiver wire who is enticing to pick up and may be a good replacement for whoever you need to drop. Then, all you have to do is wait for the guy you dropped to clear waivers and pick him back up, or you may be happier with your new pick up and just keep him.

don't think so. what i would do is find someone that you want but know noone else will that is on your team and drop him for the player on the dl. then put the player on the dl and when the player you dropped comes off waivers just pick him up w/out dropping anyone, that i am sure you can do. the risk is that someone would pick up the player you dropped and if you don't want to risk losing him or your waiver priority you might want to find another way. like maybe it is possible to draft him straight to the DL

Thanks for the answers. I kinda thought it worked like that but wasn't sure. I will have to scour my roster and see who I can drop and hope no one picks him up.

Maybe I could drop Matos and pick up Rondell White <?>
