From Yahoo (source KFFL):
Mar 25 Tampa Bay Devil Rays SS Julio Lugo (groin) did not play Saturday, Mar. 25, against the New York Yankees, due to tightness in a right groin muscle, according to the Associated Press.
Update by Rotowire:
Update: Lugo sat out Saturday's game against the Yankees with tightness in his right groin muscle, the Associated Press reports.
Recommendation: This is probably just a precautionary move, given that Opening Day is just over a week away. We'll monitor his status, but he should return to the lineup Sunday or Monday.
The last update on rototimes:
Mar. 9 Julio Lugo (SS) TB injured his right knee while sliding into second base on Thursday against Atlanta, according to the AP. He stated that he would be ready to play on Friday against the Blue Jays. "I was just being careful by coming out," Lugo said. "I need to work on my sliding."
Thats strange, rototimes is usually up to date... it looks like not on this one. Anyway, groin injuries scare me because they are nagging. Anyone else got opinions on this. Also, we haven't heard anything about the knee injury lately, so I would assume that his knee is okay. Anyone else hear anything different than that?
Thanks.
