From the official rulebook of baseball: "Baseball is a game played between two teams of nine players each." Therefore, baseball is a game played only in the National League.
What still astounds me is that Justice was able to make a postseason appearance every year dating back to 1991. Can someone geekier than me verify that? If not '91 I know it was still dating back pretty far like '92 or something.
Also what does everyone think of his HOF chances? I think there's a possibility he could make it in but I wouldn't be totally shocked if he doesn't.
Justice has a good a shot at hof as Dickie Thon, none. He was only a all-star twice, and only in top 10 mvp vote twice. Justice does have the most postseason games and abs. About the string since 91, he missed 94 (strike) and 96 seasons.

David Justice is one of my favorite players...1993 Braves team was amazing. Justice, Terry Pendleton, Steve Avery, Jeff Blouser, Mark Lemke, it was full of players that I'll never understand why I liked.
I meet David Justice when I was 12 years old. He autographed a baseball for me and I still remember him saying, "Nice mullet". It might be the best remark that's ever come my way.
In my mind David Justice is already in the Hall of Fame...the guy was married to Halle Berry!!!! So it was brief and didn't end that well - What a stud!
Braves Boy - that is a great story! Too bad he didn't spit at you (a la Keith Hernandez). I once got the sh*t kicked out of me for saying 'nice mullet' to someone at a hockey game.
OK - I grew up in Pittsburgh. Went to see a Pirates vs. Braves game and was standing in the outfield bleachers watching the Braves take BP. Dave Justice threw me a baseball - then he hit a HR that day. Still have that ball and remember it like yesterday. Even though I always hated the Braves (sorry Trev), I will always think of Justice as a class act.
You'll be missed David.
