Who do you think will put up better numbers for the rest of the season - Ensberg or Chavez? I know Chavez is usually a second half player, but Ensberg just keeps on plugging away. Will he go back to platooning with Blum once Kent is back?
Go with Chavez. I have Chavez and he plays everyday while I don't believe Ensberg is an everday player and everyone knows how the A's heat up after the break so I go with Chavez.
GO GO GO!!!! GOOOOOOO MARINERS!!!!!
HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO~
Well, beginning of last year the Astros wanted Ensberg to have the job at 3rd, and had he performed, it would have been his. I'm only guessing, but now that he's performing, gotta believe it's his from now on.
That said, Chavez has actually shown signs of life of late-- he missed a few days last week and that hurt, but he came back and still posted good numbers in the days he did play, drove a homer the first day back, etc. I have him in an H2H league and I am starting him above Ensberg. Food for thought.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....
HR R RBI AVG E SO
Ensberg 17 41 42 .303 2 35
Huff 16 47 49 .307 7 51
Chavez 17 45 48 .256 10 51
I know all about this second half stuff... So everyone is jumping on Chavez... well, I am not that big a believer in second half tenendancy. If you believe in such things, Konerko should have about 70 RBI's right now. Looking at the stats, I am going to say that they are about even in most 5x5 games. In my league, where KO's and errors are counted against you, Ensberg is the man,
I will have to say that if I had to place, in order, how they will finish, I will say huff, then a close call of chavez over Ensberg, just b/c Ensberg does not get enough playing time. Mark my words
