Brad Wilkerson, back in camp after receiving a cortisone injection in his right shoulder Sunday, said he hopes to play Wednesday and be ready Opening Day. He expects to get through this season, with another cortisone injection at the All-Star Break, but might need surgery later.
"I'm going to have to be [fine] -- it doesn't matter if I am or not," Wilkerson said. "I thought about [surgery] a lot [this winter]. I don't think the communication was the best before I got here."

That's my plan. And have your eyes on a FA to swap him with (for me it's J Gibbons). Those quotes don't sound overflowing with confidence though. I'd rather hear "I'm going to be fine" instead of "I'm going to have to be fine". Just two little words, but they make a big difference in what he seems to be saying.

exactly... ive got my eye on gibbons to replace himtoo, i like the 1b/of eligibility.
the problem is, you risk the fa guys being gone, and who knows WHEN we will see if the shoulder is ok or not.

Man, this sounds like a presidential spokesman. A whole lotta words without any answers. I'm folding.

It's worth something to me.
