Update: Wilkerson (shoulder) will undergo an MRI on Sunday, the Dallas Morning News reports.

Recommendation: The results likely won't be released until Monday. Wilkerson was dogged from most of the 2005 season with shoulder woes, so there's reason for concern here.

I hope it is not serious. I have him on 2 of my teams as a mid round sleeper. I was looking for a big year from him. I also have Kinsler on one of my teams so maybe he will move to leadoff if Wilkerson can't make it.

It was his second cortisone shot this month.

I dunno ... something ominous about seeing the words "Wilkerson", "shoulder", "Yocum" and "MRI" combined in a single report. And when I got the results of my cardiac imaging back, I wanted a little something more encouraging from the physician than "nothing too crazy" showed up.

If he doesn't hurt you by taking up a roster spot, good luck. But I'm set in the OF and got him as 1b support for Morneau ... think I'm gonna cast my gaze elsewhere.

The fact that it's only spring training and he already needs cortisone shots leaves me thinking it's gonna sap his power just like it did last year. I think I'm gonna drop him for Milton Bradley, can anyone convince me that this is a bad idea?

Oh yeah, and just to clarify, I really can't afford another unproductive/in and out of the lineup outfielder, I already would like to platoon Holliday, I have Bonds whose health is a questionmark, and I have Gathright who hopefully will be starting in Tampa and/or traded before Baldelli steals his job back. I know Bradley never manages to get through a full season, but he's in what could be a surprisingly productive lineup, and hey, why not this year?

Wilkerson received a cortisone shot in his sore right shoulder on Sunday, returned to camp on Monday, and said he should be good to go on Opening Day.

"I'm doing much better," Wilkerson said. "I got the MRI out of the way, and we've got it figured out how to attack this and deal with it for the whole season. I feel better knowing what's going on.
