Mar 24 Texas Rangers OF Brad Wilkerson (shoulder) was kept out of the lineup Friday, Mar. 24, and will miss the game Saturday, Mar. 25, due to soreness in his right shoulder, according to the Associated Press. He will travel to Tempe, Ariz. to meet with Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim medical director Lewis Yocum.
Uh-oh. There goes my mid round super value target.
Well, it has been my experience that Dr. Yocum is the Kevorkian of fantasy. Anyway, I'm not going to be able to pull the trigger on him this weekend until I hear some good news. Wilkerson is coming off of a season that ws limited by that shoulder, opted not to have surgery on it in October, and I believe it is important for a hitter to have 2 good arms, not one.

Yeah, this is frightening, and confirms what I thought about him not electing to have the surgery. Ah well, at least I got him very late in the draft, and there are other outfielders out there if he really stinks it up.
He was not a lock at leadoff and now this. I am avoiding this guy. I think Dellucci would make a better leadoff anyway. Texas has the outfield depth to give Wilkerson time off to recover. I just don't see a 2 year old injury being precautionary, especially if he is spending all this time off visiting doctors and now the MRI

it really all depends on his mri result.
if its negative, he's not a risk, but a nice play.
if they find something...he will be dropped extremely fast by many fantasy owners.
