i think it's a wash---delgado still strikes the fear of god into a pitcher, and it might take Thome some time to adjust to the NL

They are both good hitters and I don't think you can go wrong with either...however I would go with Thome based on his lineup.

Both are very good but I say Delgado. The Phillie supporting cast isnt that much stronger. Also many hitters tend to struggle when they change leagues. Alomar and Griffey come to mind. Other with substantial batting average drops in thier 1st NL season incluse Ricky Henderson and Mo Vaughn.

I'd say Thome ... More HR and RBI's give him the edge. (Although he is sligty older I think) Thome.
