I'd say Meche. Mariners are clearly in the race the rest of the way. Houston should be, but they're playing like crap the last month. Add to that that Meche's been the better pitcher all season, and I think you have to say Meche.
I'd love to have both. Preferably miller, I still remember how good he played in the 2nd half of last season. Meche's arm strength is always a concern, he may wear down late in the season.
His arm strength is one of my biggest concerns, and along with Miller's second half history of performing, is why I'm leaning towards Wade. Thanks for the great input everyone, keep the opinions coming.
I'd take Miller if I had the choice (I'm not lucky enough to have the choice of either!); If Miller's not hurt, he's a better pitcher than he's shown-- Meche, the jury is still out, he's certainly good and has good stuff. Throw into the mix that the Astros bullpen is better than the mariners bullpen (not by a lot, but by some), they are on pretty equally good offensive teams to boot. If MIller's healthy (and I haven't heard that he isn't), you've got to expect a rebound sometime soon.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....
