Everyone seems to be pretty high on him this year. He won 18 last year and lowered his ERA to 3.15 but I don't think it will last. Just wondering what everyone's impression is. What round do you expect him to go (12 team draft)? What pitcher do you think he is equal to?

I had Washburn last year and the second half of the previous year. He was teriffic last year and unbeatable the second half of the year before. even so, I would think he will be around in the 8th round.
I think he is very underrated.

I wouldn't take him before round 9.
I think he is comparable to Buehrle but I would take Buehrle if I had the choice.

when i think washburn i think poor man's mark mulder

i would say he is around the 100-mark, so that puts him in the ninth or tenth round with 12 teams

I would say he will get around 16 wins w/ a 3.50 ERA maybe? A little less than last year.

The dude is too goofy looking, he can't be that good again. I think he drops off a bit from his career year. I would guess 15 wins, and a 3.80 ERA. Since he doesn't get you the K's, I put him below Burnett, Buerhle, and the like.

I have him in a keeper league and am definetely going to try to deal him away with a prospect for a top player. I think he's a tad overrated right now. He reached his ceiling last year. He has average stuff and doesn't throw a lot of K's. I liker the poor man's Mark Mulder title. :-)
