News: Curt Schilling (hand) pitched six innings, allowing three earned runs, six hits and striking out nine batters in a 97-pitch effort for Triple-A Tucson.

Analysis: Schilling might be activated to start Saturday's game against San Francisco. Keep him reserved until he is officially activated.


I started him this week since the chance of him pitching Saturday was better than any other option I had. Keeping my fingers crossed.

the 3er doesn't indicate much. in those rehab starts, they're just supposed to throw strikes, to try out certain pitches in different situations. sounds to me like he just threw a bunch of strikes. look out, NL.
