News: Curt Schilling (hand) pitched six innings, allowing three earned runs, six hits and striking out nine batters in a 97-pitch effort for Triple-A Tucson.
Analysis: Schilling might be activated to start Saturday's game against San Francisco. Keep him reserved until he is officially activated.
I started him this week since the chance of him pitching Saturday was better than any other option I had. Keeping my fingers crossed.
97 pitches? I'd say he's healthy. The 3 er in 6 innings is perplexing when he had 9 k's.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....
the 3er doesn't indicate much. in those rehab starts, they're just supposed to throw strikes, to try out certain pitches in different situations. sounds to me like he just threw a bunch of strikes. look out, NL.
News: The Arizona Daily Star reports that Curt Schilling, who had a strong rehabilitation start for Triple-A Tucson on Monday, will throw between starts Wednesday in Phoenix. A final decision will then be made whether he can be activated to start on Saturday.
Analysis: If Schilling is cleared to start, he's worth gambling on in NL-only leagues with daily transactions.
