Is This The Team to Beat?

Postby ScrappyDoo » Thu Mar 23, 2006 9:17 pm

First year keeper, 8 Team 5x5 roto. This is our money league and I think I did very well in the draft. Power and Speed, with the only problem areas being average and saves. My bench is very deep and I can make trades to improve if I have too. I cant believe some of the guys fell as far as they did. My pitching probably could use some improvement but I have the offense to trade.

C- B. Molina
1B- A. Dunn
2B- M. Loretta
SS- D. Jeter
3B- E. Chavez
LF- C. Crawford
CF- C. Beltran
RF- L. Berkman
Util- P. Konerko
Util- T. Hafner

Bench- J. Gomes, H. Blalock, A. Rowand, A. Beltre

SP- J. Santana
SP- C. Schilling
SP- B. Webb
SP- A.J. Burnett
RP- B. Lidge
RP- E. Guardado
RP- S. Shields
P- S. Linebrink
P- K. Escobar
P- C. Young

Bench- M. Cain

Batters look strong and I love any team that has Lidge (can't miss closer in my opinion).

I like J. Santana, but why does he seem to be a top 6 pick in so many drafts? I would personally not take him (probably no pitcher) that early, but he is still a huge guy to get.

Looks pretty good...maybe get another pitcher if anything.

Take a look at my team

i understand that you are a boston fan

but schilling??????????
you really think he will dominate this year?

personally i think he will give you like 14 wins
along with like 11 losses ...ERA around 4

but if you like him, keep him

however you still need better pitching, especially your starters
try to look for ervin santana and jorge sosa if they still around

your hitting is good

rate my team :-D

Schiling is way overated but I agree with trading Blalock and Webb for a great starter. Because Webbs youth you could get a good pitcher.

Any one have any suggestions as to what pitchers I should target. Im looking to trade some of my power for a RP and SP.

Which of my bench players would you be most comfortable starting in case I had to move one of my starters for pitching; Rowand, Blalock, Gomes or Beltre.

I cant have both Blalock and Dunn starting at the same time without finishing in last in average. So Im looking to move one of them.

Any help is appreciated.

Id find a way to move Konerko, blalock is too valuable to sit on bench...
