Postby Grizzlies » Thu Mar 23, 2006 8:55 pm

Since my draft I've traded H. Blalock/R. Dempster/M. Mulder for C. Jones/C. Cordero/M. Prior. How's my new team?

10-team points league, set roster daily
We start 1-C, 1-1B, 1-2B, 1-3B, 1-SS, 3-OF, 1-Util, 3-SP, 2-RP
Scoring is as follows: R (1), 1B (1), 2B (2), 3B (3), HR (4), RBI (1), SB (2), BB (1), IBB (1), HBP (1), IP (1), W (10), CG (6), SHO (10), SV (6), K (1), HLD (4)

After draft
C - M. Barrett
1B - T. Helton, L. Overbay
2B - M. Giles, R. Weeks
3B - H. Blalock
SS - J. Lugo
OF - V. Guerrero, B. Abreu, L. Berkman, R. Baldelli
SP - P. Martinez, R. Harden, M. Mulder, J. Patterson, Z. Duke, J. Garland
RP - B.J. Ryan, R. Dempster, B. Jenks

After trades
C - M. Barrett
1B - T. Helton, L. Overbay
2B - M. Giles, R. Weeks
3B - C. Jones
SS - J. Lugo
OF - V. Guerrero, B. Abreu, L. Berkman, R. Baldelli
SP - P. Martinez, R. Harden, M. Prior, J. Patterson, Z. Duke, J. Garland
RP - B.J. Ryan, C. Cordero, B. Jenks[/u]

Great outfiled and starting pitching. The combo of vlab, berkman, and abreau is a dominating outfiled. Overall a great team.

Very solid top to bottom.

I personally would try to move one of your 2B. They both have great value in my book and you might be able to get another closer. What do you think you could get for Giles?

Weeks will increase his power this year and overall the Brewer lineup should be a little bit stronger which (I predict) will lead to more RBI's for Weeks also. Also, his thumb is healed and his average should improve.....runs scored also could jump with his increased (expected) homeruns and if G. Jenkins (now healthy), C. Lee, and P. Fielder are all batting behind him....that's some homerun power....Weeks will be a very big steal for most people who get Weeks in the 7th round or later.

I actually got Weeks in the 10th round, and it was a mistake. I missed my turn and the computer selected him for me.

I like your team a lot how many teams are in your league 8 because your team is solid from top to bottom already been said but considering your weapons on offence and still having a stron staff I wonder how you pulled this off.

I think Duke and Overbay were steals (or at very the very least, solid picks) where you took them.

I think Duke will continue to work well for the Pirates.

wow very solid team you have

you got a nice steal for taking blalock so late
he will be good this year (at least i hope so since i drafted him too early...in 4th round...oh well)

anyways, thanks for ranking my team

i like your depth and there is not much thing i can say except that maybe...just maybe...trade pedro for another ace (eg. halladay?)
or beckett+solid pitcher

otherwise a great team ;-D

Very nice squad! Amazing outfield and a solid staff. I might try trading M. Giles for another RP. From top to bottom this is a very very good team and will definitely be competative this season. God luck.
