To give some examples of Hunt's projections that seem out of line to me...
Abreu 33 HR
Beltran 3rd most valuable NL hitter
Holliday 5th most valuable NL hitter (higher than Derrek Lee)
Brandon Webb 3rd most valuable NL starter (I like the guy but um, no thanks)
Crawford more valuable than Arod
Suzuki more valuable than Vlad or Teix
Ortiz 9th best hitter in AL only league.
Beltre as 2nd best 3B in AL.
I don't know, to me someone who projects things like this isn't worth reading. Maybe its because I don't play 4x4 AL only leagues so I'm missing something... but seems like his rankings are way too specialized to bother buying unless you happen to play an AL or NL only 4x4 league.
ENDER, i don't know what issue you were reading but hunt hasnt been the lead writer for this in a coupla years..it's almost all steve gardner, devin clancy and paul white..your post is riddled w/errors and misinformation
beltran IS NOT the 3rd NL hitter -- he is 14th
abreu is listed w/21 HRs not 33
holliday is the 4th NL hitter not 5th
what's the matter w/bwebb as the 3rd NL SP ?!?
crawford IS NOT more valubale than A-Rod..A_Rod is 43 and crawford 37
suzuki is NOT valued higher than vlad and teix..vlad is 32 teix is 31 ichiro is 30
beltre is the 4th rated 3Bman in the AL
ortiz is 7th not 9th
i think the issue is fun and you get a good comparison from player to player
