Ok, so is there any news or timetable on his return? Or should Kent owners just resign themselves to his being a more extended stay on the DL. The Astros acted like he may be back by last Friday, but there haven't been any updates in quite some time.

Good thing I read this post because I was just about to write the same thing. What the heck is going on? I haven't had any updates on his status. Does anybody have any reports? This is killing me. I traded for him 2 days before his DL stint....

He has been hitting off a tee and fielding grounders. The Astros doctors say he is fine, but he still feels pain. He said he may be back before the allstar game, but there are no definites.

Latest from Rotoworld:
Jeff Kent gave his wrist a day off Sunday, intending to take batting practice Monday, but he wasn't able to.
Kent isn't ready to predict when he will return. ''It's impossible to predict,'' he said. ''But I will say that I'll probably need a couple of batting practices before I can.''
I don't know about you, but that doesn't sound all that encouraging. Makes me appreciate the balls to the wall attitude of guys like Schilling.
