Very Competititive Yahoo Custom League, 10 players, 5X5 H2H scoring, 5 Bench spots, no Innings Pitched limit.

C-Ra. Hernandez
1B-T. Helton
2B-C. Figgins
3B-A. Rodriguez
SS-J. Peralta
OF-G. Sheffield
OF-H. Matsui
OF-C. Tracy
Util-T. Hafner
Bench-J. Hermida

SP-Fe. Hernandez
SP-C. Schilling
RP-T. Jones
RP-T. Gordon
P-J. Beckett
Bench-J. Lackey
Bench-R. Clemens
Bench-M. Cain
Bench-Ja. Vazquez

I guess my team looks pretty balanced, other than the glaringly obvious lack of top-tier closers. There are a lot of contingencies among my starting pitchers as well. Anyone have a definitive answer about Clemens? How will the other guys do?
I feel that since most of these players are rated by Yahoo below where they ought to be, and since my league mates didn't pick them, I am unlikely to get a fair trade for anyone. However, since it is a 10 team league, the waiver wire still has the likes of Brad Wilkerson, Moises Alou, Chris Shelton, Curtis Granderson, Tony Clark, Joey Gathright, Chris Young, Mike Gonzalez, Ervin Santana, Brad Penny, Oliver Perez, and Ambiorix Burgos. Do y'all think that any of these guys are worthy of dropping anyone on my team? Which scoring categories will I win/lose?

Good lineup. But I would drop Clemens ASAP to grab players like C. Young, who awaits a great season in San Diego after nice numbers in hitter-friendly Texas.

Other than that, your team is like Taco Bell's Crunch Wrap Supreme.

Please rate my team.

Great Lineup, Pitching Staff is in some trouble. Clemens MAY...MAY come back, but it will be later in the season. Who knows if Schilling will ever be the same pitcher again. Beckett will be garbage in the hitter-friendly Fenway. Vazques and FHernandez should be solid. but HURRY, pick up Chris Young, Mike Gonzalez and Brad Wilkerson. Those guys are big time breakout canidates. Trust me. Young will do great in Petco, Mike is the closer for a horrible team but has great stuff, and Wilkerson is is TExas, one of the best hitters parks.

that pretty well sums up any thoughts i had.
clemens is worth keeping...for atleast another month just to see.
maybe trade one of your second tier pitchers like lackey for a better closer, but if you can get gonzalez off waivers that would work too.

EXACTLY like the Crunch Wrap Supreme--lots of beefy chunks, some cheese, a cornbread outer shell, et al.

Nice team. As suggested, some closer help will do.

Do y'all think Matt Cain is drop-worthy to get Chris Young or Mike Gonzalez?

It's all probability... a big IF.

The probability of Matt Cain succeeding is lower than that of Chris Young.

However, if Matt Cain indeed succeeds, he would outperform Chris Young.

It's like investing... it depends on how much risk you want to take...

I would go with the conservative but still decent choice/performance of Chris Young.

All your SB will be from Figs and Arod. In a 10 teamer that's weak.
