Oswalt comes off the DL today and is scheduled to pitch TONIGHT. I go to drop a player to get Oswalt back in my lineup and it doesn't go in effect until TOMORROW.

It's always been like that. Roster add/drops don't take effect until the next day. They have to do it like that because if it took effect immeadiately, you'd have problems with some games alreadys started, etc. It's your job to plan ahead and make the roster move a day ahead for players coming off the DL.

You may end up being pleased you didn't start Oswalt. He's fresh off the DL and you should be careful in this situation anyway.

CTJ- I know what you mean. This is my 1st yr with Yahoo after Sandbox sold out (those a-holes), and I had the same thing happen to me with Oswalt earlier this yr. Of course he dominated that game, so I'm hoping he can do the same this time. wish me luck

If he'd been sitting on your DL and you played him on Yahoo.....his stats' would count even tho it says DL.....I can't believe you just picked him up.......

Well, maybe he will help you in his start later on in the week....

Fantasy sports are ruled by the 50-50-90 rule...
Anytime you have a 50-50 pick between two players, 90% of the time, you'll get it wrong!

Its not like Yahoo didn't provide AMPLE warning that he was going to pitch today - they've been talking about it for almost a week.
You'll just have to plan better next time.
