auction draft and I have the most dominant team ever
(in my humble opinion). I am the 2x defending
champion, so this says a ton. We were able to retain
5 players so I started the season with Pierre ($22),
Berkman ($10), Santana ($20)
, Teixera ($22) ($9).
In the draft I focus on buying hitters with the
greatest importance and ignore pitchers, favoring to
employ a LIMA philosophy. I managed to add the
following players: Helton ($34), Delgado ($31),
Carlos Lee ($25),Blalock ($24), Greene (4), Ramon
Hernandez ($8),Barajas ($4), Loretta ($3), Monroe
($1), Preston Wilson ($4) and Taveras ($5).
After I drafted all of my hitters I help chip power
($23 remaining)
and I used it to my advantage to
collect: Blanton ($1), Kazmir ($7), Lieber ($1), Lowe
($1), Westbrook ($1), Towers ($1), Clemens ($4) along
with the following budget closers: Ray ($4), Weathers
($1), Burgos ($1) (actually dropped Macdougall for
him), and I. Snell ($1).
As you can see my philosophy is to get High Value
hitters and cycle pitches throughout the year (double
starters). At the end, of the season I start tinkering
with the pitching line-up to strengthen specific
categories.
Here is my question do I have enough steals to drop
Taveras? It might help alot of other teams, but
Sanders, Patterson, Matos, Cameron, Mackowiak who all
have speed and a little bit of power. Also Towers is a
maybe should I drop him for promising Ryan Madson or
ageless David Wells?
Where can I get some cheap saves? <img src=/forums/images/smiles/kiss.gif>
