Yea, exactly, everyone has a bad outting every so often.
How many saves does anyone expect this guy to get over the next 6 weeks in kansas city? They have one tough April schedule from taking a quick look at it, White Sox twice, Indians twice Yankees, Twins, and A's just in April, that doesn't look like many save chances there. And May looks like pretty much the same thing.

I took a waiver on him just to get him before anyone else did.

I wouldn't drop benitez, or use a high waiver proirity on him. Maybe if he was the full time option, but he is just a stop-gap till MacDougal comes back

He is only a stop gap until he steals the job. Lets face it, Macdougal can hardly be called a good closer. He tends to get the job by default.

I'm not sure I'd dump a high waiver slot, but fortunately I wasn't faced with that decision. I dropped Madson, who I originally drafted for holds but don't like so much as a No. 5 starter in Philly, to pick up Burgos as a FA.

If the cost is cheap and you need the saves, Burgos has upside, including the possibility of hanging onto the job if he deals early.
