Yes. Until MacDougal returns or he blows it.

But would you burn a high waiver priority for Burgos? It's a pretty decent league so there's not a ton of dumb drops.

I would...I give him a 20-30% chance of keeping the job as he's got the stuff (just lacked the command like a lot of rookies). Even at that type of chance he's worth the WW priority especially since barring him stinking up the joint he's the closer for a full month.

when all is said and done, there are always dumb drops...maybe not a ton but some. I wouldn't use it on a Royal pitcher.

I would use it if you have really weak closers but if you have any decent closers then I would not use a waiver priority. Last year I got Mauer half way through the year on waivers so you always can get really strong players on the WW. So unless you a got a low tier closer as your number 1 closer don't waste your priority.

Burgos will get a shot at the closer's role for at least six weeks while Mike MacDougal (shoulder) is out.

He should be owned in all leagues. If he fails, Jeremy Affeldt could have a shot at it.

BUrgos has a high potential even if he doesnt keep the closer role. he has some very good skills and could end up being a future elite closer.
