He must be good! Time to pick him (and his 6.29/1.75 ratios) up off my league's waiver wire! And I guess I should go trade Giles for Andruw Jones ... Gahhhhh.

Williams making an all star team si about as much a mystery to me as how he has only blown 3 saves wit han era over 6. The guy is a complete mystery?

He has a nice habit of blowing the save but getting a groundout with the score tied and the bases loaded -- so he doesn't take many losses but sends a whole lot of games into extra innings. Even more amazing is his K/BB ratio (15/21 -- no, I don't have that backwards).

Did all the AL hitters voted him so that they can do some BP off him during the game?

They see Williams is 24/27 in save opps. They are very ugly, but they are still saves. Personally, I would not have put him on the All-Star team.

He might be good but how many people would rather see Dontrelle WIllis than Mike Williams. The NL already has Gange wagner and Smoltz they don't need some marginal pitcher like him even though he does get saves

Leyland said, "We thought we were getting a hell of a player, but Neifi simply did not perform well."

He's the only Pittsburgh Pirate selected. They should've found a way to take Aramis Ramirez or Brian Giles. :-t
