Very similiar? JG 1.137 ops to BB .950, a difference of .187. JG 156 total runs created to BB 116, 40 more. JG 11.39 runs created per 27 outs to BB 6.91, a difference of 4.48 per 27. Jason blew everyone in the al out of the water that year in hitting. Boones gold glove at 2b reduces the gap in hitting, but not by those numbers above. As much as i hate to say it, Jason was easy mvp. The writers got caught up in Ichiro mania, and it showed. Had 1 writer went Jason over Ichiro, Jason wins it was close.
