Came in prepared, how did I do?

The league I just drafted in is set up a little different than most. 12 team league, head2head, weekly lineups.

Positions are: C,1B,2B,3B,SS,OF,OF,OF,UT SP,SP,SP,SP,RP,RP BN,BN,BN,BN

Catagories are: R,RBI,HR,SB,OBP,SLG W,ERA,WHIP,K/BB,K/9,S

We have to start 4 starters per week and each has to start at least once that week, or be scheduled to start.

Here is what I ended up with:

Obviously I waited on SP, I punted SB, and I waited very late for a SS. I planned ahead, prepared the best I could for this set-up. It is different because it favors big bats and really I felt like I could get away with waiting on pitching. I tried to get SP's who have a good K/BB since that is a catagory while getting some who get decent K/9.

Any thoughts? There is quite a bit on our waiver wire as well!

Looks pretty good. I bet you could p/u Lofton on WW so you don't totally lose SB. Maybe Edwin Santana as SP for Angels.

decent team although i would be worried if your #1 pitcher is burnett

not because he sucks
more like he might have injury

and lofton is just too old to be effective unless he play like clemens

otherwise a solid team

I don't like your starting pitching at all. Burnett is always hurt, Radke is solid but has diminishing skills, Lieber has had injury problems. Hopefully you get career years out of Escobar and Bonderman.

I agree about the SP. and I would try to get someone to help out on the SB stats. Lofton is to old to help. Try to find a young speedy OF on the ww. SP burnett in injury prone. I picked up Radke and i think he's going to have a great year. If not I'll trade him too.

Thanks. I based my draft strategy on offense, I think in this format pitching doesn't have the value it normally does. I am going to try and pull out a few catagories a week in pitching, mainly K/BB. Weekly lineups with starters seems like it will be difficult to me. I am going to play matchups all year.
