Has anybody here read The Long Ball by Tom Adelman? I just bought it. I read Moneyball a fews weeks back and thought it was good, but was wondering what everybody's favorite non-fiction baseball book is. My personal favorite is Seasons In Hell by Mike Shropshire.
Any thoughts?

Come on man !!!!
we're not literate, we're baseball nerds....LOL
Two books i highly recommend are both by former MLB ump Ron Luciano:
"The Umpire Strikes Back" and
"Strike Two"
Both good reads, lots of funny stories about old managers and players. Top notch if aren't 12 like most of these numnuts'.
Hey the Cheat, Thanks for helping me...cheat.

"For the love of the Game"... the movie was lame, but the book explains the story of a no-hitter with so much detail, you can't believe how amazing it is!!

Also like to add "You're missin' a Great Game" by Whitey Herzog. Interesting read.
