I can't believe Willis didn't get on the All-Star squad. I thought he was a shoe-in with all of his enthusiasm and charisma. It would have been nice to see a young guy full of zest in the game, but I agree with how Baker voted for the replacement.
Thought out there?

The fact that he only came up part way through the first half from the minors had something to do with that.

he didn't pitch enough games to warrant a spot on the team. that and the every-team-is-represented rule did him in.

these are all valid arguements, but the man does have a 2.13 ERA. he is a fringe all-star, much better than ortiz IMO.
Down with dope and up with hope.

ya he has a 2.13 era but the man hasn't played nearly as much as the other pitchers so there is still no way that he is a snub

the number of games means a lot ,, he's had less oppertunities to give up runs and every thing else so that he doesn't lead in those catagories. he is just like a hitter who got injured and wasn't there half the first half , the hitters' number though would be low , but for him as a pitcher their high.

he said he didn't do enough to be on the all-star team. That could of attributed to people picking him.
