My first Roto team ever. How'd I do?

Postby jdkickboxer » Sun Mar 19, 2006 6:32 pm

Standard 12-team 5x5 Roto - Yahoo public

My Team:

C Willingham
1B Pujols
2B Figgins
3B Mora
SS Ellis
OF Wells
OF Drew
OF Floyd
UT Pierre
BN Gomes
BN LoDuca

SP Peavy
SP Pettitte
RP Lidge
RP Gordon
P Patterson
P Penny
P Valverde
BN Bonderman
BN Young
BN Gonzalez

How did I do?

Also, I hate having two catchers if I don't need them. Will Willingham start? If so, who should I drop LoDuca for: Granderson, Hermida or someone else? Thanks.

Willingham I find unproven in my eyes. He only played officially something like 15 games last season. I find it funny (in a good way) that you actually got Lo Duca, becuase his trade to the Mets is the reason that Willingham is starting at all.

Pujols and Figgins are good. So is Mora. Ellis is a good pickup, but I'd look around just in case he hurts his shoulder again.

Gomes was someone I didn't know until he popped up last year. I've read that he might get 25 HR this year.

I like your pitchers...Is that Tom Gordon you have from Philly? He might be starting but i'd be curious how he'd do. I see him more as a setup man.

Keep both your catchers...you should have a back up in case of injury or off days. I doubt either catcher will be platooning.

Watch Granderson, I dont think you need him...same with Hermida.

It is Tom Gordon, and I believe he is Philly's closer now, actually.

Yea gordon left the yankees so he can close once again before he retires. Flash Gordon will be a good pick if he can keep it up from the yankees. Your OF is pretty close to a B- or a c in my book. All 3 of em are not outstanding they just do what they are accustom to doing. Wells hasn't been what we think he can do. Floyd has some kidney issues that is hereditary which his father(I think) died from. Drew is good if he can stay playing.
