Autodraft position rank strategy help

Postby dave_1861 » Sun Mar 19, 2006 1:14 pm

Sportsline 10 team autodraft. I already have my player rankings but they also have a position ranking were you can pick what order you would like to draft certain positions (i.e. rd 1 - 1b, rd 2 - sp, rd 3 - 2b, ect, ect)

I have never been in a league that gave you this option so i am curious as to what would be an effective order to use. I usually do live drafts so i don't think about what position i want to draft for a particular round and most host programs don't have this option anyhow.

The draft is 22 rounds and here are the default settings they currently have (their are roster limits so we have to draft positions they have listed and they also put the DH position as a 1B position for the draft only).

SP
RP
LF
CF
RF
C
1B
2B
3B
SS
C (2nd)
LF (2nd)
CF (2nd)
RF (2nd)
1B (2nd)
SP (2nd)
SP (3rd)
SP (4th)
SP (5th)
RP (2nd)
RP (3rd)
RP (4th)

Thats pretty cool... But here is how I would rank it...

OF
1B
SP
SS
2B
OF (2)
SP (2)
RP
3B (Pretty deep this year)
SP (3)
RP (2)
OF (3)
C (Not very important I don't think)
SP (4)
SP (5)
OF (4)
1B (2)
SS (2) Maybe it would get you a good rookie? That's what I'm figuring...
OF (5)
SP (6)
RP (3)
3B (2)

Didn't put too much thought into it, but I think it should be pretty close to whats right...
