In my fantasy book, it has Carl Crawford going as the #3 hitter overall... This doesn't include pitchers, but it only has A-Rod and Pujols in front of him... I think that is pretty high for him, whats your take?

Sounds like they are expecting a breakout for Carl. Either that, or they overvalue stolen bases. Steals are not all that rare this year, so I wouldn't rank him that high.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....
In a shallow 12 team roto league I could see taking him over Teix and Ortiz, since 1B is so incredibly deep, but I don't understand taking him over Vlad or Manny.
In my league I have him at around #13 because I'd rather have a Wright or Bay than Crawford, but thats for H2H, my roto leagues are all OPS instead of AVG (not by my personal choice) and that really kills the value of SB guys.
A lot of the fantasy Mags rankings are downright ridiculous. Street & Smiths Fantasy Baseball 2006 has Juan Peirre as the # 7 player overall, above the likes of Santana, Wright, Crawford, Teixeria, Ortiz, Manny and MCab.

Wow, Pierre is good and all, but late 2nd round/early 3rd is his spot... No earlier... (Talking about a 12 team league)...
