How's my team?

12 team, h2h, 5x5 (19 players per team though, not 21). Overall, I like this team, but I'm concerned a bit about power and particularly:
a) was 2005 a fluke for Bay?
b) will Schmidt rebound?


C - Josh Willingham
1B - Aubrey Huff
2B - Mark Loretta
3B - Hank Blalock
SS - Jimmy Rollins
OF - Jason Bay, Bobby Abreu, Jeremy Hermida
Util - Travis Hafner
Bench - Brad Wilkerson, Jonny Gomes

SP - Roy Oswalt, Jason Schmidt, Chris Capuano, Brandon Webb, Matt Cain
RP - Joe Nathan, Ryan Dempster, Joey Devine


Thinking of dropping Gomes for Jake Westbrook....

IMO Bay will be fine this year, no fluke there. Schmidt not so sure of, but you pitching is very strong, almost don't even need Schmidt. Great Ps for a 12 teamer.

Good team. Don't drop Gomes, you may need him for SB. Not familiar with Hermida. I think Wilkerson will have a good year, so move him to OF.

Well, I think my OF is set and my util slot is the permanent home of Hafner. Also, I think Wilkerson will score 100 runs as Texas' leadoff guy and he's got just as good a chance at 15sb as Gomes. Gomes will probably hit more hr and more rbi, but oh well.

I'm looking at picking up Westbrook b/c it's h2h and more starters = more wins, strikeouts, etc. for the week (and Westbrook is decent so he won't be hurting me).

if blalock and huff rebound then your offense will be fine. I wouldn't be concerned at all with Jason Bay, but I would be concerned with Jason Schmidt. I'd be in shock if he wasn't on the DL at all this year.

i am in the same boat as you with Schmidt. His spring starts have looked promising. I think he will rebound this year but not be the ace that he once was. With Bay there is no doubt that he will be good.

I'm not worried about Schmidt this year. I think I would go as far as to say he might be a stud pitcher this year. Jason Bay on the other hand, I am not sure about. I think he will have a solid season, but I think he's going far too high in drafts. But with the team you have around him, you will be fine this season.
