Which ML would you drop?

Postby speedy27 » Sun Mar 19, 2006 1:35 am

12 team 7x7 H2H keeper league. We start 5 SP's and 5 RP's. we have a Minor League roster to stash away players. I was looking at picking up Ian Snell as he's been pretty solid this spring (also is eligible as a swingman SP/RP in my league). Who would you drop out of these 15 in order to pick him up? I suppose I could also drop Arthur Rhodes or Duaner Sanchez (but then I'd be forced to start Snell right away in the RP spot)

Thanks

Minor League roster:

Howie Kendrick-2B, Dan Uggla-2B, Eric Duncan-3B, Erick Aybar-SS, Joey Gathright-OF, Chris B. Young-OF, Chad Billingsley-SP, Joel Zumaya-SP, Edwin Jackson-SP, Mike Pelfrey-SP, Adam Loewen-SP, Greg Miller-SP, Jonathan Broxton-RP, Joey Devine-RP, Todd Coffey-RP

The only two that should even consider dropping would be Uggla or Coffey. Uggla has a chance to start though I think his value is quite limited, Coffey on the other hand was pretty bad last year and gor hit around in the majors. I personally don't think either will amount to much of anything and wouldn't want them on my team, so I would say flip a coin. ;-)

Though if I had to pick one it would probably be to drop Coffey.

I would say Uggla simply because you have a viable second base prospect in Kendrick and their is no real value in having excess in a position with a large, mediocre FA talent pool to choose from.
