Who to avoid in a league with Ks? WHIR

In a league with H, R, HR, RBI, SB, K, and AVG as hitting categories, what are some radioactive hitters that you would just avoid (like Adam Dunn)? I won the regular season in my league last year but I lost in the second round of the playoffs and this year we decided to add Ks for hitters as a category?

Therefore, my strategy is going to revolve around speed and leadoff guys with high averages, hits, runs, and stolen bases. So who are some guys that are late round bargains and who are some that I should just avoid?


The pitching in my league is also W, L, K, ERA, ER, and WHIP... with a 21 inning minumum, so I am planning on trying that heavy closer/middle reliever strategy with 1 ace and 2 second tier pitchers.

So anyone have some advice? Thanks and I will help in return if you leave a link.

You should therefore target Jason Kendall as your catcher.

He has an insane career AB / K ratio. Something like 1 in every 12 AB's and he will be a very good source of runs, avg and SB's.

Orlando Cabrera is another with an excellent AB / K ratio.

And Vlad would definitely be the No. 2 pick in a league like that, A-Rod's value drops a fair bit.
